These handcrafted soy candles carry a heavier scent load than you'll typically find with candles in big box stores, so they cast a strong aroma at full burn, with labels and fragrances inspired by dahlias we've grown here at Sunset View Farm Dahlias.

They're made by Dawn and Ralph McClellan, of Dawn Marie's Candles, a lovely couple who are friends of our farm, and who also just so happen to make incredible hand-poured soy candles!

When we asked if they would be interested in crafting a trial run of dahlia scented candles, they wholeheartedly agreed.

Dawn always enjoyed a good-smellin' candle, but found most candles in stores to be pretty disappointing when they were actively burning. So Ralph ordered Dawn a candle-making kit so she could have fun making candles with better scent loads.

It worked! People started asking where she was getting her unusually delightful candles from, and then the orders started coming in. Dawn Marie's Candles was born.
